Laboratory of Icons was "an exhibition of information graphics inspired by the history of stem cell research, tools of the laboratory, and sustainable research practices created by Advanced Graphic Design students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Art Department. The graphics portray the creative interpretations of the infinite possibilities of science, design, art, and the intersection that can happen between each of these fields." – Steven Driscoll Hixson

I was interested in reaching a younger audience for this project, and what better way to do that than to conjure up a superhero? The tour of the Life Technologies building in Madison, Wisconsin that my peers and I received showed amazing scientific innovation and so capturing the attention of a younger generation in hopes of increasing interest in science felt like the right move.
